Knitting for the little Kaveney

When I heard that my friends Bud and Lorraine Kaveney were expecting a baby, I got excited about knitting her  something soft, cute and pink. I normally knit booties for newborns, but thought I'd try mittens and a hat for little Lily Scarlett!

I used a pretty pink bambino wool and got the pattern for the mittens from my Simply Knitting magazine. I should really update this blog more often as I can't remember where I got the pattern for the very cute hat!

Apparently Lily has worn them, but I didn't receive a photo to add to my blog.

Here is the set. I normally sew a 'hand knitted' label into the things I knit, but I didn't want the label to rub on the babies soft skin, so I loosely attached a label to the set so they knew I had knitted it. :)
